David threw everything but the kitchen sink into the story line. We have bad cops, kidnapping, murder, drugs, arson, insurance fraud, hidden treasure etc. I guess I could have taken the story line but when the “shoot out” occurs, the bad guys spend a great deal of time explaining the story line, 10 bad guys with guns vs Memory Man’s one gun. By the time the conversation was completed, guess what? The Feds show up and capture all of them. I think David is getting lazy or losing his ability to tell a good story. So sad as I loved his earlier works.
