I do have one thought, however. I have never really considered Candy McClure to be a villain, well perhaps in the first Orphan X novel. I think of her as more of an anti-hero because her initial motivation for killing Evan (before the acid) was based on her being told untruths…she thought she was doing the right thing. I think she realizes this by the end of ‘Hellbent’ and even though ‘Out of the Dark’ doesn’t factor into this list, it does cement her real status in my opinion.
