NEON PREY: John Sandford’s 29th Lucas Davenport Novel to Come Out Next April

On April 23, 2019, Lucas Davenport is back on the case in Neon Prey, the latest novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author John Sandford.

Formerly employed by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Davenport is still adjusting to life as a newly minted U.S. Marshal — a gig he’s had for just two books (Golden Prey, 2016; and Twisted Prey, 2017) — when readers meet back up with him in Neon Prey. Though a somewhat risky move, Sandford decided to freshen up his series by having Lucas undergo the notable career change following his 2015 novel, Gathering Prey. Now, Davenport is free to pick his own cases, and rather than be confined to Minnesota, he can operate on a national stage.

This time around, Lucas goes after a serial killer who has flown under the radar of law enforcement for years, and it’s probably safe to say that the killer’s luck is about to change now that Davenport is hot on his heels.

Lucas Davenport pursues a prolific serial killer who has gone undetected for years in the newest nail-biter by #1 NewYork Times-bestselling author John Sandford

It was a relatively minor criminal matter, all things considered, but enough that the U.S. Marshals obtained a warrant to enter the home. They didn’t expect to unearth trophies from a score of killings.

Now Davenport is on the trail of a serial murderer, one who was able to operate for years without notice or suspicion. But there’s even more to this killer than meets the eye…
