Josh has a way of putting the reader, even the review reader, right there next to him in the Humvee. (What was that smell? Never mind. Don’t tell me.) Now, I must go back and read “The Third Option” again, this time with a little better understanding of the surroundings (which I got from Josh’s books and his vivid, nightmare-provoking descriptions). I hope that the books I’ve sent overseas to our military help other soliders escape their reality for a few minutes at a time like Vince’s books helped Josh and perhaps “Mike,” too. Thank God there truly are men like Mason, Mitch, Scot, Dewey, and “Mike” out there and may God protect them.
