Matthew Betley burst onto the scene in a big way earlier this year. His debut novel, Overwatch, which introduces readers to his series protagonist, Logan West, and has already drawn the new author comparisons to heavyweights like Brad Thor, and the late Vince Flynn.
Betley originally signed a two-book deal with Emily Bestler Books, an imprint of Atria Books at publishing powerhouse Simon & Schuster. His second book, Oath of Honor, is scheduled for release sometime in March of 2017.
New Deal
News just broke today that Betley, who many in the industry consider to be a superstar in the making, has agreed to a new two-book deal with Emily Bestler Books, ensuring fans will get their Logan West fix for years to come. Books three and four of his series will hit bookstores everywhere in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
I reached out to Matthew Betley, who is repped by Will Roberts at The Gernert Company, for comment. He had this to say:
“I am absolutely thrilled to reach a deal with Emily Bestler Books at Simon & Schuster. I could not be happier – there is no other home for the Logan West thrillers. I’ve been blessed from the beginning with fantastic editors, a great publicist, and an overall awesome support staff I call ‘Team West.’ Buckle up sports fans and enjoy the ride!”
Buckle up, indeed, thriller fans… The Logan West saga is just getting started!
