One of the biggest names in publishing has a new partner in crime.
FBI agent Kate O’Hare and charming con man Nicholas Fox are set to return in The Bounty, the latest novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author Janet Evanovich, who has a new co-author in fellow bestseller Steve Hamilton (Dead Man Running, 2018, etc.).

EXCLUSIVE (January 5, 2021): Two-time Edgar Award-winning and New York Times bestselling author Steve Hamilton has teamed with mega-bestselling author Janet Evanovich to write The Bounty, book #7 in the Fox & O’Hare series, to be published by Atria Books on March 23, 2021.
Hamilton, author of two New York Times Notable Books of the Year, is best known for his Alex McKnight crime series, the Nick Mason series, and The Lock Artist, and has either won or been nominated for every other major award in crime fiction, including the Shamus Award, Barry Award, Anthony Award, Dashiell Hammett Prize, American Library Association Alex Award, CWA Gold Dagger, and the Ian Fleming Steel Dagger. The Bounty marks Hamilton’s first ever collaboration with another author.
“I’m thrilled and honored to be working with one of the most successful authors in the history of publishing,” Hamilton said. “And honestly, working on The Bounty was probably the most pure fun I’ve ever had as a writer.”
Janet Evanovich is one of the biggest selling authors in the world, with nearly 100 million copies sold. Fortune & Glory, the 27th book in the Stephanie Plum series, was published by Atria Books in November 2020 and instantly became the 41stNew York Times bestseller of Evanovich’s career, as well as the 26th book to hit #1.
Evanovich debuted the Fox & O’Hare series in 2013, featuring the unlikely partnership of FBI Special Agent Kate O’Hare and international thief and conman Nick Fox. In The Bounty, both Kate and Nick enlist the help of their fathers as they race across Europe to find the biggest treasure of all time: a lost train loaded with $30 billion in Nazi gold, hidden in a labyrinthine maze of tunnels and untouched for over 75 years.
Both authors are represented by Shane Salerno and The Story Factory.
Talk about kicking off the new year with some major news! It’s worth noting just how rare it is to see two such prolific writers team up to co-author a book. The combination of Evanovich—who has written 26 #1 New York Times bestsellers and sold nearly 100 million copies of her work—and Hamilton (best known for his Alex McKnight and Nick Mason franchises) packs an unprecedented amount of star power, making The Bounty one of the most anticipated novels in 2021. If that’s not enough, I also hear that a Fox and O’Hare TV show is in the works.
Readers excited to get their hands on The Bounty, in stores on March 23, can now pre-order it wherever books are sold.
