When news about Joshua Hood’s second Mason Kane novel, Warning Order, first surfaced it was scheduled to be released on June 7th. A few weeks later the pub day was pushed back to June 28th, the same day that Brad Taylor, Ben Coes, and John Gilstrap all have new novels coming out.
Now, it appears, that the release date has been changed once again. While the hardcover edition of Warning Order is still scheduled to come out at the end of June, the Kindle edition will be available on May 31 for the mega-discounted price of $1.99 (instead of the original $12.99 price).
Honestly, I’m shocked that Hood’s publisher, Touchstone, made this move. Fans, though, should be thrilled to get a new release for the price of a double cheeseburger!
Warning Order is the follow-up to Hood’s 2015 debut Clear by Fire and stars special ops soldier Mason Kane. Also returning is Mason’s trusty friend Zeus, and fan favorite Renee Hart. You can read my full, spoiler-free preview of Warning Order here.
I was able to confirm that pre-orders, even if the price shows $12.99 will, in fact, be reduced to the $1.99 discount on May 31. To order your copy of Warning Order, click here now!
