New York Times bestselling author of the hit nonfiction book Outlaw Platoon, U.S. Army combat veteran Sean Parnell made headlines in 2018 when he released his first critically-acclaimed thriller, Man of War, introducing readers to his fictional hero, Eric Steele.
With his second novel, All Out War, scheduled for publication on September 3, 2019, Parnell recently signed a new two-book deal with his longtime publisher, William Morrow, ensuring there will be at least two more books added to his hit series—bringing the franchise total to four by 2021.
“I’m so psyched to be working with William Morrow again,” Parnell told The Real Book Spy in an exclusive statement.
“David Highfill is the best editor in the business. He’s invested in Eric Steele’s journey and gets this genre, where it’s going, how it’s changing, everything. In fact, his entire team has been a joy to work with. We are all on the same page—in the fight to make Eric Steele the stand out character he deserves to be.”
As for what readers can expect later this year when his second thriller lands on store shelves, Parnell told me that in All Out War, “the fight comes home for Steele in a very personal way, and soon he finds himself swept up into something much larger and more sinister. He’ll also get some answers about the legacy of his father, who’s been MIA since his childhood. I’m really excited to share this story with everyone—so standby for incoming, because on September 3rd, the war comes home!”
