Last September, we broke the news that Joseph Reid’s (Takeoff, 2018) second Seth Walker novel, due out June 18th, was titled False Horizon. While plot details are still being kept under wraps, Book Spy followers are getting an exclusive first look at the cover art.
In an interview last year, Reid told me, “I’m incredibly excited for people to read False Horizon. “Takeoff was Seth Walker’s first case, and because that story started with an ambush, he was necessarily thrown off his game and out of his element.
“In this second adventure, Seth has found his footing, and that gives us a chance to learn more about what makes him tick and how his special talents—his engineering knowledge, his marksmanship—help him defeat the bad guys. Plus, I’m really proud of the pace of this book. Although lots of readers said they couldn’t put Takeoff down, I worked really hard to pack False Horizon with even more action. The story is set in the rural mountains of West Virginia where Seth is investigating a plane crash, and there’s no shortage of suspects in the hills and hollers, from overzealous environmentalists to angry frackers to well-armed miners to furtive drug smugglers. I hope people will love it!”
Fans excited to get their hands on Reid’s anticipated second novel can pre-order False Horizon here.
