THE LOST COAST: Jonathan & Jessie Kellerman’s Fifth Clay Edison Novel Announced

On August 6th, 2024, Clay Edison returns in The Lost Coast, the latest thriller from #1 New York Times bestselling authors Jonathan Kellerman and Jessie Kellerman.

Edison—a former star athlete turned deputy coroner—was first introduced in the Kellermans’ 2017 novel Crime Scene, which Stephen King called “brilliant, page-turning fiction.” Since then, he’s starred in four novels to date, including The Burning, which came out in 2021. That book follows Clay as he investigates a wealthy man who was shot to death in his palatial hilltop home, a crime that may or may not link back to Clay’s brother, Luke, who was recently released from prison. Now, in The Lost Coast, the fifth book in the series, the story picks up less than a year after the events of The Burning. Clay has been forced out of his job as an assistant coroner, but that doesn’t mean he can no longer care for the dead. Launching his new career as a private investigator, Clay takes on a dangerous new case, one that locals don’t want him poking around.
