This Fall, Sheriff Walt Longmire Returns In Craig Johnson’s New Novel, ‘Depth of Winter’

The Netflix television show might be over, but Longmire lives on in Craig Johnson’s novels. In fact, the Absoroka sheriff is set to ride again on September 4th in Johnson’s all-new novel, Depth of Winter.

Winter is the 14th novel in Johnsons New York Times bestselling series and follows last year’s The Western Star, which was widely applauded by fans and critics alike for its phenomenal twist ending. This time around, Walt must find a way to save his daughter, Cady, after she’s kidnapped by a Mexican drug cartel.

Welcome to Walt Longmire’s worst nightmare. In Craig Johnson’s latest mystery, Depth of Winter, an international hit man and the head of one of the most vicious drug cartels in Mexico has kidnapped Walt’s beloved daughter, Cady, to auction her off to his worst enemies, of which there are many. The American government is of limited help and the Mexican one even less. Walt heads into the one-hundred-and-ten degree heat of the Northern Mexican desert alone, one man against an army.”

Depth of Winter hits bookstores everywhere this September, and is available for pre-order wherever books are sold!
